5 Best Airline Amenity Kits

One of the best things about flying long haul, apart from the destination of course, is the on board amenity kits that the bigger airlines provide.

If you’re like most of us and travel in economy, it is usually a mix of tooth paste, headphones, and a questionable pen, but the excitement comes if you’re lucky enough to travel in First Class. One of the many perks of the premium cabins is the luxe amenity kits containing all sorts of indulgent goodies.

Here, we show you the five best airline amenity kits that line the plush first class cabins of the world’s top airlines. If comfy beds, on board bars and fine dining doesn’t make you jealous enough of the mysterious folk that hide behind the velvet curtain that separates the high life from bog standard economy, these gorgeous amenity kits will have you remortgaging your flats just to buy yourself a first class air fare!

Etihad

In the past couple of years Etihad Airways have really made their mark in the first class market, with their opulent cabin design and elegant Swarovski cosmetics purse amenity kit. Snuggly packed with Swiss luxury skin care brand, La Prairie, socks, eyemask and dental care, this kit really is the epitome of first class.

KLM

Embracing its Dutch roots, KLM have opted not to team up with a luxury skin care brand, but instead, have teamed up with Dutch designer duo, Viktor and Rolf, to provide a sleek comfort bag for both men and women, filled with branded Viktor and Rolf on board essentials, lip balms, pens and socks. The bags are a collectible item too, as the group will bring out a new design every six months.

Emirates

Emirates are known for providing luscious BVLGARI products, and a luxury Italian leather or suede wash bag. Hand cream and face emulsion feature in the bag, along with innovative ‘sniff boxes’ – one for Focus and one for Sleep, containing herbs and scents to focus or relax the mind for work or down time. Socks are also included, as well as an Emirates branded eye mask, which add to the extreme comfort of travelling first class.

Turkish Airlines

This is one of my favourite ideas! Leading the race to the best amenity kit has got to be Turkish Airlines’ leather ipad case, stuffed full of Crabtree and Evelyn skincare goodies. Condor and Virgin Atlantic have also jumped on the bandwagon, but Turkish’s flap over, padded design, plus the Crabtree bits really tops it off. According to a TripAdvisor report, one in four of us now consider our iPads or tablets to be a carry on essential, so these guys have really hit the spot!

Singapore Airlines

Singapore Airlines have teamed up with premium skin and hair care brand, Kiehl’s, to provide a chic and cool amenity kit containing five mini skincare products from lip balm to facial cleanser. Full sized products cost around £25-£45, so you can snap up some good quality skin products to try.
